#STAYSAFE @ RONACHER
#STAYSAFE @ RONACHER
Vereinigte Bühnen Wien will resume playing with CATS in the Ronacher as planned from September 24, 2020. The health of our visitors is our top priority. Your visit to the theater is important to us, and we are delighted to finally welcome you again!
Due to the prescribed minimum distance, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien reduced the number of seats available in the Ronacher from September to December 2020. We are committed to COVID-19-compliant seat allocation and regret that the reduction in seats is also associated with adaptations in the seating plan.
Tickets booked before August 6th, 2020
The minimum distance makes it necessary to change the seating arrangement, which unfortunately makes it impossible for us to continue guaranteeing your previous seat bookings. The booking and the day of the event you have chosen will of course remain valid. Nevertheless, we have to assign you new seats. We make every effort to allocate seats within the category you have booked. You will be actively contacted by our customer service and informed about the possible changes. You will receive the new, COVID-19-compliant tickets with your seats by email no later than 24 hours before the start of the performance.
Tickets booked after August 6th, 2020
Booking via category
We ask for your understanding that we, for organizational reasons and to comply with COVID-19-compliant seat allocation, we can currently only book tickets for most of the performances in 2020 by category. Please choose your desired category when purchasing your tickets - the final seats will be allocated before the event and you will receive your COVID-19 compliant ticket with your seats by email at least 24 hours before the performance.
All seats are assigned to groups (of a maximum of four people). Visitors belonging to a group will sit next to each other. A seat is left free between the groups on the left and right.
Booking via seating plan
In addition, seats can be purchased at short notice (one to two weeks) before the respective performance via seating plan booking - these are allocated in a chessboard pattern. You will receive your print@home tickets by email directly when you make your booking.
In both cases, please show your print@home ticket printed out or on your mobile phone when entering the theatre. At musicalvienna.at you can print out your print@home tickets (duplicates) at any time after logging in under "service".
We ask you not to change your seat. No standing room can be offered as COVID-19 prevention until further notice.
Our houses are opened an hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open at this time, so you can take your seats early.
Help us to make the theater evening as safe as possible for everyone by considering the minimum distance of 1 meter as far as possible throughout the Ronacher and wearing mouth-nose protection until the beginning of the performance and from the final applause. We also recommend wearing the mouth-nose protection during the performance.
In addition to the usual hand hygiene, there are numerous disinfectant dispensers available throughout the house.
We ask you to stay away from the event if you have symptoms of illness (even without a fever).
To make it easier for you to find your way around and to prevent crowds of people, VBW has implemented a guidance system in its buildings.
Depending on your seat, you will be assigned a certain entrance (A-H) in a color-coded sector (yellow, red, blue, green, gray). Use this for entering and leaving the theater. We kindly ask you to stay within your assigned colors during your visit to the event.
- Parkett (Stalls) on the right and Parkett (Stalls) in the middle: YELLOW, entrance G
- Parkett (Stalls) left: RED, entrance E
- Erster Rang (1st Floor): BLUE, entrance C
- Zweiter Rang (2nd Floor): GREEN, entrance B
- Wheelchair users: GRAY, entrance A
- Box Office: PINK, entrance D
You will also find your entrance and color code on your COVID-19-compliant ticket, which you will receive no later than 24 hours before the start of the performance.
In order to avoid crowds, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien opens its theaters one hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open to you at this point.
We ask you to support us in avoiding waiting situations in cloakrooms, toilets etc. by coming to the theater early and using the earlier admission option.
Please note: There is currently NO ADMISSION to the performance for all theatres of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien! If there is a break, you can of course take your seats in the second half.
We request you to also observe the distance rules after the performance and when leaving the houses. Thank you so much!
Please understand that our buffets are only open for you during the break and are only available for guests who have reserved table in advance. We also ask our VIP guests to reserve in adance to redeem their VIP beverage vouchers. Please help us to ensure the prescribed minimum distance in the break rooms and to avoid crowds of people at the bars.
You will also find a link to our reservation form in your e-mail, which you will receive with your COVID-19-compliant ticket up to 24 hours before the event. This gives you the opportunity to reserve a table for the break in advance and place your order (food, drinks) up to 3 hours before the start of the performance. Please consume your order only at the places assigned to you.
You will receive further information in the confirmation email.
The duration of the break has been extended to 30 minutes.

We ask for your understanding that, for reasons of contact tracing, tickets can only be sold by providing your contact details. The collection and use of your data is of course in line with the GDPR. It is only accessed when the need arises.
The name of the buyer is noted on all admission tickets.
In the case of a Corona Cluster, the ticket buyer must be able to inform the Vienna Medical Directorate who attended the performance on request. Please also note this when passing on cards!
Our terms & conditions can be found here.
Visitors from the stalls (Parkett) and 1st floor (1. Rang) can buy our programs and souvenirs during the break at the box office. Our shop on the second floor (2. Rang) is available to our guests from the 2nd floor during the break.
You can also find all of our items in our online shop at any time musicalvienna.at/en/souvenirs.
The VBW theaters have modern systems for room ventilation. These are 100% fresh air systems. The air in the room is generated outdoors, filtered, conditioned and brought into the auditorium via the floor and extracted through the ceiling. This ensures (even before COVID-19) the supply of pure conditioned outside air. Both the ventilation frequency and the air exchange rate were increased. 36m3 of air is exchanged per visitor. In addition, the shock ventilation is activated in the rear spectator area, which enables the exchange of 45m3 per hour per person. Our filters are exchanged at regular intervals.
Continuous surface disinfection
During the routine cleaning of the venues, both areas such as Handrails, door handles, railings etc. as well as complete open spaces such as floors are disinfected.
