The countdown is on! In just a few weeks, Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will celebrate its grand premiere at the Raimund Theater.
Rehearsals begin for Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
In just around seven weeks’ time, the curtain will rise at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW), a Wien Holding company, on the most enchanting musical of all time: Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
MARIA THERESIA: Last show before the summer break
On 27 June 2026, the curtain rose for what was, for the time being, the final performance of MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL at the Ronacher.
WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION 2026
On 22 June 2026, the Raimund Theater became a stage for up-and-coming musical theatre talent for one evening. The Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) and the City of Vienna’s Private University of Music and the Arts (MUK) presented the successful concert series WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION for the eighth time.

The cast for Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has been finalised. The production and the lead performers were presented at a press conference on 9 June.

German Premiere of RUDOLF – THE LAST KISS in Füssen
On May 7, the hit VBW musical RUDOLF – THE LAST KISS, written by Frank Wildhorn (music) and Jack Murphy (lyrics), celebrated its acclaimed premiere at the Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein in Füssen. The show can now be experienced for the first time in Germany in an impressive new production. The production, directed by Alex Balga, is scheduled to run through October 2026.

On 11 May at 8 pm, an extraordinary evening of music awaits the audience at the ESC Village on Vienna’s Rathausplatz: WE ARE MUSICAL meets the Eurovision Song Contest.
REBECCA from autumn 2026 at the Theater Dortmund
REBECCA makes its debut at a German opera house. The premiere is on 19 September 2026. The production runs until 10 April 2027.

For the 13th time, the long-standing partnership between Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and Wiener Städtische Versicherung offered 100 schoolchildren from across Austria an unforgettable theatre experience.
Singing, dancing & plenty of stage time
The first “VBW Musical Workshop for Adults” recently took place with great energy and enthusiasm. Organised by the VBW’s musical theatre outreach programme under the direction of Margarete Reichel-Neuwirth, the event gave around 50 musical theatre enthusiasts the chance to immerse themselves in the world of the genre and get a taste of life on stage.
