Synopsis
MESSIAH ROCKS
The 270-year-old smash hit tale of a musical resurrection
MESSIAH ROCKS by Jason Howland and Dani Davis – the spectacular rock version of G.F. Handel’s oratorio “The Messiah” – will be staged at the RAIMUND THEATRE.
Since it was first written, G.F. Handel’s oratorio “The Messiah” has been constantly updated and adapted, Mozart being one of the first composers to revise the work for contemporary audiences.
This new interpretation of the famous oratorio is both contemporary and provocative, combining elements of classical music with classic rock and casting a new light on this 270-year-old work, which is still one of the best-loved oratorios of all time.
