On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the RAIMUND THEATER opened its doors with a MUSICALFEST and cordially invited you to a very exclusive afternoon in the theater. On this day we offered an exciting entertainment program with many special attractions from 12.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Admission was of course free!

After Vereinigte Bühnen Wien’s great success with CATS, VBW is bringing one of the most famous musicals of all time, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, back to Vienna. Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will be brought to the Raimund Theater in spring 2024 by Artistic Director Christian Struppeck, for the first time in German-speaking countries.

Due to its great popularity, the VBW's successful production of ELISABETH will take place for the fourth and unfortunately last time in 2024 as a major concert highlight in the courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace. From June 27 to 29, 2024, the most successful German-language musical of all time will also be seen one last time next year as an exceptional concert experience in front of the famous historical setting of the Schönbrunn Palace.
