Andreja Zidaric was born in Slovenia and studied at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna. As part of her training, she sang the title role in FRAU LUNA, Gretel in HANSEL UND GRETEL and Mrs Pennywise in URINETOWN. She has also appeared in DIE POLNISCHE HOCHZEIT (UA) as part of the Vienna Operetta Summer and in WIENER BLUT in Langenlois. In 2013, she won first prize and the Audience’s Choice Prize in the International Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition, as well as the Salzburg Festival Special Prize. As a member of the Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project, she appeared as Blonde in the children’s version of THE ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO and DER ROSENKAVALIER. She has appeared as a soloist in numerous concerts, including at the Vienna Musikverein. In 2014, she was mentored by Ildiko Raimondi as part of the Kurier WoMentoring Program. She subsequently appeared as Komtesse Stasi in DIE CSÁRDÁSFÜRSTIN and Amber in the musical HAIRSPRAY.
