Ana Milva Gomes Paulette Buonufonté
Ana Milva Gomes is Dutch with Cape Verdean roots and studied in Amsterdam. For Nehebka and later the title role in AIDA, she moved to German-speaking countries. This was followed by engagements in DER KÖNIG DER LÖWEN and TARZAN in Hamburg, and she also appeared regularly as a soloist in BEST OF MUSICAL. At the VBW she appeared on stage as Deloris van Cartier in SISTER ACT, Maria Magdalena in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and Paulette Buonufonté in NATÜRLICH BLOND. In MAMMA MIA! she embodied the world's first dark-skinned Donna and was nominated for the Austrian Music Theatre Award for the role of Baroness von Waldstätten (MOZART!). Further engagements included Betty Jean in WINTER WONDERETTES/Kammerspiele Wien; Oda Mae Brown in GHOST - DAS MUSICAL/Linz; Inez in ZORRO and the title role in CARMEN/Winzendorf; Shug Avery in DIE FARBE LILA/Amsterdam as well as Justice Charlier in ROCK OF AGES/Amstetten. She was a participant in the 11th season of "Dancing Stars" and received the Broadway-World Austria Award for the best supporting role in a musical for her impersonation of Nicki Marron in BODYGUARD - DAS MUSICAL (VBW). She is currently on stage as Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece CATS at the Ronacher.
