Born in Dinslaken, Stefan has lived in London for many years. In Germany he works as a make-up artist on the productions TABALUGA & LILI (Oberhausen), ELISABETH, Disney's AIDA and DAS PHANTOM DER OPER (Essen) and travels the country with the first German tour of CATS. For the stage adaptation of LORD OF THE RINGS he moves to London and is responsible for the special FX make-up. In the West End, engagements follow for WICKED, GONE WITH THE WIND, HAIRSPRAY, BILLY ELLIOT, WE WILL ROCK YOU, ENRON, RENT, THE WILD PARTY and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. He briefly works on SHREK, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS and THE BOOK OF MORMON in the United States and then brings these productions to London. As a designer or supervisor he works for: MISS SAIGON (London, Broadway, UK & International Tour), THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (London, Copenhagen, 25th Anniversary Gala at the Royal Albert Hall, UK & International Tour). Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall, Australia, UK & World Tour), LES MISÉRABLES (London, concert performances, UK & Ireland Tour, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Australia and Dubai), SHREK (UK & Ireland Tour), KING LEAR (Chichester & London), FROZEN - THE PLAY (London), LADY WINDERMERE'S FAN (London), A ROOM WITH A VIEW (Royal Bath) and AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (London). Film works include: "The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall", "Les Misérables - The Staged Concert", "An American in Paris", "Lady Windermere's Fan", "King Lear" and "Miss Saigon", as well as the feature films "Maleficent" (Disney), "Flawless" and "The Merchant of Venice". He worked as a wig technician for the live-action adaptation of Disney's "Cinderella" and as a supervisor for Pablo Larrain's "Spencer". His television work includes: "Britain's Got Talent", ITV; "Children in Need", BBC; "This Morning", "The Paul O'Grady Show", ITV; "This Morning America in Paris", CBS; "Wetten Dass?!", ZDF. In 2014 and 2016 he worked on "The Royal Variety Show" for the British Royal Family. In 2012 he taught at the Delamar Academy at Ealing Film Studios. He also makes wigs for artists in the pop music scene and is awarded the Technical Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance in the category Wigs and Make-up in 2013.
