VBW and MUK present students of the "Musikalisches Unterhaltungstheater (MUNTER)" programme at a major graduate concert in June

This year, for the fifth time, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) and the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK), both companies of Wien Holding, are dedicating an entire evening to the promotion of young artists. As part of "WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION" on 26 June 2023, budding musical performers will stand on the big musical stage of the Raimund Theater together with renowned colleagues from the industry and gain important initial experience for their future. True to the motto: Stars of tomorrow meet the stars of today.

In addition to this year's MUK graduates and the students of the "Musikalisches Unterhaltungstheater" (MUNTER), the audience can look forward to star guests Mark SeibertKatharina Gorgi and Martin Berger - all three also MUK alumni. Together they will present a varied cross-section of the genre and give insights into the diverse world of musicals.

The event will once again be hosted by the well-known director and MUK lecturer Werner Sobotka, who will also be responsible for the design of the evening. A 4-piece live band will play under the musical direction of Peter Uwira, who is himself a lecturer in the "Musikalisches Unterhaltungstheater" programme. Advance booking is now open.

The 2023 graduates: Bianca Basler, Marlene-Lydia Fröhlich, Fabian Koller, Janik Oelsch, Cedric Schröter, Victoria Sedlacek, Benedikt Johannes Solle, Ann-Charlotte Wittmann.

"WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION" gives young artists the opportunity to stand on a big stage for the first time and present themselves to a wide audience. On this evening, they will stand side by side in the spotlight with well-known guests who are already established in the industry. The event, specially developed by VBW and MUK and dedicated to the artists of tomorrow, has already been very well received in previous years at the Ronacher and Raimund Theater.
