Born in Vienna, Katharina Gorgi discovered her love of music at the age of five while learning the violin. In 2004, she entered the world of musical theater when she played Brigitte and Louise in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and Liesl in EIN WALZERTRAUM at Vienna's Volksoper. After finishing her studies at the Musikgymnasium Wien, in 2013 she began a degree in classical music studies, specializing in the violin/to become a concert violinist at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). In 2014 she started her musical theater studies at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), graduating with honors.

While she was still a student, Katharina appeared as Urleen in FOOTLOOSE at the Musicalsommer Amstetten festival, as Pig Wild in GRIMM at Vienna's Theater der Jugend. As a cast member in the premiere of I AM FROM AUSTRIA, she understudied the role of Emma Carter at the Raimund Theater in Vienna. She went on to play Sophie in MAMMA MIA! in the Stage Entertainment tour production and at Berlin's Theater des Westens, then took the lead role in ROXY UND IHR WUNDERTEAM in the Volksoper in Vienna, Rizzo in GREASE at the Musicalsommer Amstetten festival and Soulgirl in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Raimund Theater in Vienna. Katharina is now also studying music therapy at the MDW and psychomotor development at the University of Vienna.
