Christian Struppeck, VBW Musical Director: "The promotion of young artists is very important to us. With THE NEXT GENERATION, VBW, in cooperation with MUK, is organizing an initiative for the fourth time, with which we give graduates and students the opportunity to present themselves to a broad audience in one of our theaters. In the course of this concert, they can gain important experience for their future in musical theater and also stand on the big stage together with renowned colleagues from the industry. An evening dedicated entirely to the new generation of the musical genre."

Prof. Dr. Franz Patay, VBW Managing Director and former Rector of MUK: "WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION has been promoting young artistic personalities at the end of their training since 2017. This concert, specially conceived by us and the MUK, enables the graduates of the "Musical Entertainment Theater" course, who perform this evening together with established stars, to present themselves in a festive setting to our musical fan community and a broad audience. In past years, this VBW young talent promotion format has been extremely enthusiastically received, so we are very much looking forward to this year's performance at the Raimund Theater."

Dr. Andreas Mailath-Pokorny, Rector of the MUK: "The MUK trains the stars of tomorrow, as proven by the many outstanding talents who complete their studies at the only university owned by the City of Vienna. This also includes the star guests who will be on the big stage at the Raimund Theater as part of WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION with the young artists from the Musical Entertainment Theater program. We are glad that Vereinigte Bühnen Wien is making this format possible again this year, because it gives young artists the opportunity to gain unique experience for their budding careers."

Univ-Prof.in Mag.a Alexandra Riener, Director of the Musical Entertainment Theater program: "The training of the students of the Musical Entertainment Theater program at the MUK is intensive, diverse and focused. Their extensive training in singing, dancing and acting, and so much more, gives students the opportunity and space to grow into sought-after stage personalities. Thanks to this contemporary training, the young performers are more in demand than ever on stages in and outside of Austria. At WE ARE MUSICAL - THE NEXT GENERATION, the young graduates present their Bachelor's show on the big stage together with already established performers who, like them, have graduated from the MUK. The end of their education at the MUK thus becomes the beginning of their stage career through a cross-generational handout of a very special kind."
