Andreas Lichtenberger Erzdiakon Claude Frollo

Andreas Lichtenberger completed his training in the Drama Department of the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany, and played seven seasons in the theater of the Stuttgart Staatstheater. He celebrated his musical debut in 2003, in the German-language premiere of 42ND STREET. This led to parts like Sam and Bill in MAMMA MIA!, Kerchak in Disney‘s TARZAN, THE MAN FROM LA MANCHA, Edna in HAIRSPRAY, Albin/Zaza in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, SHREK in the musical of the same name, Long John Silver in the premier of TREASURE ISLAND, Tevje in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and as Jedermann in the premiere of JEDERMANN - THE ROCK OPERA. He made his Austrian debut in Vienna as Axel in ICH WAR NOCH NIEMALS IN NEW YORK at the Raimund Theater, then went on to play Petruchio in KISS ME KATE at the Volksoper and Don Camillo in DON CAMILLO & PEPPONE at the Ronacher. Andreas then played the Wizard of OZ in the new production of WICKED in Hamburg. He is currently performing at Vienna's Ronacher Theater as Erzdiakon Claude Frollo in Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. From fall 2023, Andreas will be back on stage in the role of Horst in ROCK ME AMADEUS – THE FALCO MUSICAL at the Ronacher.
