In "Ab ins Musiktheater", the magic of opera, musicals and operettas is brought to life in countless fine, small scenes and with many loving details. Hidden object book viewers of all ages can get to know the exciting world of musical theatre.
Our leisure programmes enable young, interested people to have their first encounters with the musical genre. The workshops take place in the ballet hall and on our rehearsal stage - there is singing, acting and dancing. Thematically, the workshops are based on our current productions and offer insights into the different areas of the musical.

VBW JUNGES MUSICAL combines musicals with school. We offer education resources for teachers (in german) for our current productions as well as guides in simple language (in german). Workshops and school projects teach musicals interactively, directly in the classroom or on site in the theatre. We link the reality of pupils' lives with the content of our respective plays and bring our theatre professions to life.
VBW JUNGES MUSICAL can also be experienced from home. To prevent boredom at home, there are puzzles, quizzes, games, tests and handicraft instructions about musicals to print out. How is a musical made, what do swings actually do and who works in the theatre? All these questions are answered in a playful and creative way.

The VBW offers young up-and-coming artists points of contact with musical professionals who pass on their experience from the world of theater to the next generation. We want to create proximity between aspiring and established artists, between students and theater directors, between today and tomorrow.

Yesterday, the Ronacher theatre once again welcomed young musical theatre talent to the stage! On this special evening, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) presented the jointly developed concert format WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION for the seventh time.
For the twelfth time, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and Wiener Städtische Versicherung placed cultural education and youth development at the centre of their long-standing cooperation. A visit to the theatre and musical workshop offered schoolchildren space for creativity, fun and enjoyment of musical theatre.
On Sunday, May 18, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, in cooperation with Österreichische Autistenhilfe (Austrian Autism Aid), invited audiences to a second “relaxed performance” – this time at ROCK ME AMADEUS – DAS FALCO MUSICAL at the Ronacher Theater.
Last week, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien organized its first “Education Day” for around 400 pupils aged 14 and over, offering young people exclusive insights into the trades behind the scenes of ROCK ME AMADEUS – THE FALCO MUSICAL at the Ronacher.
