#STAYSAFE @ RONACHER

The health of our visitors is our top priority. Your visit to the theater is important to us, and we are delighted to welcome you soon again!

The website is regularly updated and adapted to the current measures of the Austrian federal government. Since there are unfortunately also short-term adjustments due to changes in the regulation, we ask you to inform yourself again about the applicable regulations shortly before your visit to the theatre.

Your Seats

Due to the prescribed minimum distance, the VBW has reduced the number of available seats in the Ronacher until further notice. We are striving to allocate seats in accordance with COVID-19, and we very much regret that the reduction in seats is also associated with adaptations in the seating plan.

CATS performances that have been postponed to the first half of 2021

Your booking will still be valid.

You will receive your new tickets with your COVID-19-compliant seats by email no later than 1 week before the start of the performance.

If it is not possible to allocate COVID-19-compliant seats for your booking due to the reduced number of seats, you will be contacted by us with an alternative date.

Please present your ticket upon admission and hand in the “Contact data entry” section of your print@home ticket or your completed form (see Contact Data Entry).

CATS performances in the second half of 2021 (from September 11, 2021)

Direct Seat Selection

For all performances from September 11, 2021, it is already possible to purchase seats by booking the seating plan.

According to the current COVID-19 regulations, we can again use 100% capacity for theater performances of the production "CATS" in autumn. We are therefore pleased to be able to offer you regular bookings again for September and October and are now starting to sell the free seats. We ask for your understanding that, for the time being, only COVID-19-compliant seating is possible for all performances from November.

Due to the COVID-19-compliant booking, only bookings of a maximum of 4 tickets are possible with the seat selection. Each time a booking is made, a seat is automatically released on the left and right. For bookings of more than 4 tickets, we ask you to make a second booking.

You will receive your print@home tickets by email when you make your booking.

In all cases, please show your print@home ticket printed out or on your mobile phone when entering the theater. At musicalvienna.at you can also print out your print@home tickets (duplicates) at any time after logging in under "Service".

We ask you not to change your seat. As a COVID-19 prevention, standing tickets cannot be offered until further notice.

We open our houses for you an hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open at this time, so that you can take your seats in good time.

Collection of contact data (Contact Tracing)

According to the current COVID-19 regulations, the VBW are obliged to record the contact details of all visitors to our theaters (Ronacher, Raimund Theater, Theater an der Wien und Kammeroper) for the purposes of contact tracing. This is done either using the contact form or the corresponding section on your print@home ticket.

You can access the contact form at https://www.vbw.at/staysafekontakt and print it out in advance.

Please have your ticket, negative test result (or other proof in accordance with the rule “vaccinated, recovered, tested”) and photo ID ready at the entrance. The fully completed contact form must also be handed in to a service employee - otherwise you may be refused entry.

Your data will only be used for official requirements. The contact forms will be destroyed immediately after 28 days in accordance with the COVID-19 legislation. If necessary, the contact details will only be forwarded to the authorities if requested to follow up on contact persons.

General Safety And Hygiene Guidelines

Help us to make the evening at the theatre as safe as possible for everyone.

  • Please have your negative test result or other evidence ready according to the rule "vaccinated, recovered, tested" when you enter. A negative test-result is only required for children from the age of 10.
  • Please keep a minimum distance of 1 meter from other groups of visitors, if possible more.
  • It is compulsory to wear an FFP2 mask in the entire building - even during performances. This also applies to visitors with a certificate exempting them from the mask requirement. Only children up to the age of 6 do not need to wear a mask. Mouth and nose protection is mandatory for kids from 6 to 13 years and wearing a FFP2-mask is mandatory for everyone from 14 years.
  • To maintain the required minimum distance, the number of available seats has been reduced. We therefore urge you not to change your seat for this reason.
  • Any liability of Vereinigte Bühnen Wien in connection with the rules of conduct and safety measures is excluded.

Our Guidance System

To make it easier for you to find your way around and to prevent crowds of people, VBW has implemented a guidance system in its buildings.

Depending on your seat, you will be assigned a certain entrance (A-H) in a color-coded sector (yellow, red, blue, green, gray). Use this for entering and leaving the theater. We kindly ask you to stay within your assigned colors during your visit to the event.

  • Parkett (Stalls) on the right and Parkett (Stalls) in the middle: YELLOW, entrance G
  • Parkett (Stalls) left: RED, entrance E
  • Erster Rang (1st Floor): BLUE, entrance C
  • Zweiter Rang (2nd Floor): GREEN, entrance B
  • Wheelchair users: GRAY, entrance A
  • Box Office: PINK, entrance D

You will also find your entrance and color code on your COVID-19-compliant ticket, which you will receive no later than 24 hours before the start of the performance.

Admission and leaving

In order to avoid crowds, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien opens its theaters one hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open to you at this point.

We ask you to support us in avoiding waiting situations in cloakrooms, toilets etc. by coming to the theater early and using the earlier admission option.

Please note: There is currently NO ADMISSION to the performance for all theatres of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien! If there is a break, you can of course take your seats in the second half.

We request you to also observe the distance rules after the performance and when leaving the houses. Thank you so much!

Box Offices

You can find the opening times of the VBW box offices HERE.

We ask for your understanding that, for reasons of contact tracing, tickets can only be sold by providing your contact details. The collection and use of your data is of course in line with the GDPR. It is only accessed when the need arises.

The name of the buyer is noted on all admission tickets.

In the case of a Corona Cluster, the ticket buyer must be able to inform the Vienna Medical Directorate who attended the performance on request. Please also note this when passing on cards!

Our terms & conditions can be found here.

Programs & Souvenirs

Visitors from the stalls (Parkett) and 1st floor (1. Rang) can buy our souvenirs during the break at the box office. Our shop on the second floor (2. Rang) is available to our guests from the 2nd floor during the break.

You can also find all of our items in our online shop at any time musicalvienna.at/en/souvenirs.

Safety And Hygiene Precautions (Ventilation And Disinfection)

State-of-the-art ventilation

The VBW theaters have modern systems for room ventilation. These are 100% fresh air systems. The air in the room is generated outdoors, filtered, conditioned and brought into the auditorium via the floor and extracted through the ceiling. This ensures (even before COVID-19) the supply of pure conditioned outside air. Both the ventilation frequency and the air exchange rate were increased. 36m3 of air is exchanged per visitor. In addition, the shock ventilation is activated in the rear spectator area, which enables the exchange of 45m3 per hour per person. Our filters are exchanged at regular intervals.

Continuous surface disinfection

During the routine cleaning of the venues, both areas such as Handrails, door handles, railings etc. as well as complete open spaces such as floors are disinfected.

Drinks & Snacks

We thank you for your understanding, that it is not possible for us to open our buffets to our visitors due to the current requirements regarding gastronomy and the spatial conditions in our historical theaters.
