#STAYSAFE @ RONACHER

The health of our visitors is our top priority. Your visit to the theater is important to us, and we are delighted to welcome you soon again!

The website is regularly updated and adapted to the current measures of the Austrian federal government. Since there are unfortunately also short-term adjustments due to changes in the regulation, we ask you to inform yourself again about the applicable regulations shortly before your visit to the theatre.

Your Seats

Due to the prescribed minimum distance, the VBW has reduced the number of available seats in the Ronacher until further notice. We are striving to allocate seats in accordance with COVID-19 and we very much regret that the reduction in seats is also associated with adaptations in the seating plan.

CATS performances that have been postponed to the first half of 2021

Your booking will remain valid.
You can find more information about your alternative appointment HERE.

You will receive your new tickets with your COVID-19-compliant seats by email no later than 24 hours before the start of the performance.

CATS performances in the first half of 2021

Category booking

We ask for your understanding that, for organizational reasons and to comply with COVID-19-compliant seating, we can currently only book tickets for all performances until the end of June 2021 by category. When purchasing your tickets, please select your desired category - the seats will be set in good time before the event, and you will receive the tickets with your COVID-19-compliant seats by email no later than 24 hours before the performance.

All seats are assigned according to booking groups (of a maximum of four people). Visitors who belong to a visitor group will sit next to each other. A seat is left free between the visitor groups on the left and right.

CATS performances in the second half of 2021 (from September 11, 2021)

Seating plan booking

For all performances from September 11, 2021, it is now possible to purchase seats by booking the seating plan.
During the COVID-19-compliant seating plan booking, bookings of a maximum of 4 tickets are only possible. With every booking, a seat is automatically left free for the next booking. For bookings of more than 4 tickets, we ask you to make a second booking.

You will receive your print@home tickets by email when you book.

In all cases, please show your print@home ticket printed out or on your mobile phone when you enter the theatre. At musicalvienna.at you can also print out your print@home tickets (duplicates) at any time after logging in under "Service".

We ask you not to change your seat. As a COVID-19 prevention, standing room cannot be offered until further notice.

We open our houses for you an hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open at this time, so you can take your seats early.

General Safety And Hygiene Guidelines

Help us to make the evening at the theatre as safe as possible for everyone by keeping the minimum distance of 1 meter as far as possible throughout the theatre and complying with the obligation to protect the mouth and nose in the entire theatre - including during the performance. This also applies to visitors with a certificate exempting them from the mask requirement.

In addition to the usual hand hygiene, numerous disinfectant dispensers are available throughout the house.

Our Guidance System

To make it easier for you to find your way around and to prevent crowds of people, VBW has implemented a guidance system in its buildings.

Depending on your seat, you will be assigned a certain entrance (A-H) in a color-coded sector (yellow, red, blue, green, gray). Use this for entering and leaving the theater. We kindly ask you to stay within your assigned colors during your visit to the event.

  • Parkett (Stalls) on the right and Parkett (Stalls) in the middle: YELLOW, entrance G
  • Parkett (Stalls) left: RED, entrance E
  • Erster Rang (1st Floor): BLUE, entrance C
  • Zweiter Rang (2nd Floor): GREEN, entrance B
  • Wheelchair users: GRAY, entrance A
  • Box Office: PINK, entrance D

You will also find your entrance and color code on your COVID-19-compliant ticket, which you will receive no later than 24 hours before the start of the performance.

Admission and leaving

In order to avoid crowds, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien opens its theaters one hour before the performance begins. The auditorium is also open to you at this point.

We ask you to support us in avoiding waiting situations in cloakrooms, toilets etc. by coming to the theater early and using the earlier admission option.

Please note: There is currently NO ADMISSION to the performance for all theatres of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien! If there is a break, you can of course take your seats in the second half.

We request you to also observe the distance rules after the performance and when leaving the houses. Thank you so much!

Box Offices

You can find the opening times of the VBW box offices HERE.

We ask for your understanding that, for reasons of contact tracing, tickets can only be sold by providing your contact details. The collection and use of your data is of course in line with the GDPR. It is only accessed when the need arises.

The name of the buyer is noted on all admission tickets.

In the case of a Corona Cluster, the ticket buyer must be able to inform the Vienna Medical Directorate who attended the performance on request. Please also note this when passing on cards!

Programs & Souvenirs

Visitors from the stalls (Parkett) and 1st floor (1. Rang) can buy our souvenirs during the break at the box office. Our shop on the second floor (2. Rang) is available to our guests from the 2nd floor during the break.

You can also find all of our items in our online shop at any time musicalvienna.at/en/souvenirs.

Safety And Hygiene Precautions (Ventilation And Disinfection)

State-of-the-art ventilation

The VBW theaters have modern systems for room ventilation. These are 100% fresh air systems. The air in the room is generated outdoors, filtered, conditioned and brought into the auditorium via the floor and extracted through the ceiling. This ensures (even before COVID-19) the supply of pure conditioned outside air. Both the ventilation frequency and the air exchange rate were increased. 36m3 of air is exchanged per visitor. In addition, the shock ventilation is activated in the rear spectator area, which enables the exchange of 45m3 per hour per person. Our filters are exchanged at regular intervals.

Continuous surface disinfection

During the routine cleaning of the venues, both areas such as Handrails, door handles, railings etc. as well as complete open spaces such as floors are disinfected.
