Big musical festival to kick off the season at the Raimund Theater
Saturday, September 19, 12 PM – 5 pm
Just in time for the start of the season, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien are hosting the big musical festival WE ARE MUSICAL in and around the Raimund Theater on 19 September 2026, from 12 noon to 5 pm!
Visitors can once again look forward to a varied afternoon at the historic theatre this year. Musical fans of all ages can look forward to a varied programme – from rousing dance workshops and fascinating workshop talks with VBW staff, to enchanting face painting for children, informative introductions to the current productions, and exclusive insights into the world of the VBW musicians in ‘How Music Is Created’. Young visitors can solve puzzles, do crafts and discover the world of musicals to their heart’s content in the Musical Corner.
As a very special highlight, excerpts from our latest production, Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, will be presented to the audience for the first time on the stage of the Raimund Theater on this day.
The popular open-air stage, featuring musical performances by the VBW musical stars and hosted by Robert Steiner and Ratte ‘Rolf Rüdiger’, is also a regular fixture on the programme. Here, visitors can once again look forward to a musical dance-along and sing-along.
The big souvenir flea market once again offers visitors the chance to snap up some special merchandise treasures from past musical productions.

Free admission tickets will once again be available for individual events. Full details on how to book these tickets will be announced in late August/early September via the Musical Vienna newsletter, social media and here on our website.
