ROCK ME AMADEUS – relaxed performance
INCLUSIVE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE
On 18 May 2025, a ‘relaxed performance’ took place at ROCK ME AMADEUS – THE FALCO MUSCIAL. This was realised in cooperation with Österreichische Autistenhilfe. A ‘relaxed performance’ is a performance adapted for people with disabilities, people with learning difficulties and neurodivergent people (including autism, ADHD), but which can be attended by anyone and everyone. During the performance, sensory stimuli such as loud noises and strong lighting effects are reduced or adapted. In addition, the auditorium remains lightly lit throughout the performance and it is possible to leave and return at any time. Earlier house and auditorium admission and a longer intermission are also intended to reduce the hectic and stressful nature of theatre visits. Simple orientation aids and information in simple language support the preparation for the musical experience. The introduction to the performance began at 1:45 pm.
Duration: approx. 3 hours 30 minutes
(including 30 minutes intermission)
German with German surtitles
The surtitles are clearly visible from the centre blocks in the tiers and in the stalls from row 5.
Age recommendation: from 10 years
Important notice:
In order to make the ‘relaxed performance’ as inclusive and relaxed as possible, all strobe and flash effects will be removed. However, due to the special stage design with numerous mirrored surfaces (on stage and partly above the audience area), light may still be reflected and therefore dazzle. People who are particularly sensitive to light are advised to wear protective goggles. We would also like to point out that it can be louder in the first rows than in the rest of the auditorium due to the positioning of the loudspeakers in the auditorium.
Assistance dogs are very welcome
Please note: Only assistance dogs that have completed their training are permitted. Unfortunately, dogs in training or without the appropriate qualification are not allowed.
Emotions, successes, escapades - Falco as an artist and a person
ROCK ME AMADEUS – THE FALCO MUSICAL is a homage to the exceptional Austrian artist and pays tribute to Falco as an artist and person. It was developed in cooperation with the Falco Private Foundation and Falco's long-time companions. His career started in the underground clubs of Vienna in the 80s. The self-created artificial figure "Falco", his unforgettable songs as well as his eccentric and charismatic appearance made him world-famous in a very short time. In addition to Falco's greatest hits, the audience can expect an exciting journey through emotions, successes, escapades and the ever-recurring conflict of "Falco", which promises deep insights into his innermost being.

MUSICAL ENJOYMENT FOR ALL IN A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE
Following the successful realisation for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA last July at the Raimund Theater, this unique performance format can now be experienced at the Ronacher. The feedback to our first ‘relaxed performance’ was overwhelming. Here some of the audience comments:
