The Burgtheater is the patron of the 18th NESTROY gala

The 18th NESTROY Gala, organized by the Wiener Bühnenverein, takes place on Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Ronacher in Vienna. The patronage and artistic design will be taken over by the Burgtheater this year. Austrian writer Julya Rabinowich was won over for the book. Her topic: How dangerous is art? 2016 audience award winner Nikolaus Habjan with his partner Manuela Linshalm and castle actress Regina Fritsch host the gala. The NESTROYs are awarded in 13 categories, the award for the lifetime achievement goes to Kirsten Dene.

The jury of critics, consisting of Karin Cerny, Peter Jarolin, Eva Maria Klinger, Wolfgang Kralicek, Petra Paterno, Ronald Pohl, Lothar Schreiner and jury chairperson Karin Kathrein, went on a journey of discovery through the theater for one season and again for this year's gala discovered many interesting things.
