Men are constantly in the "AND conflict": They should be great lovers AND good husbands, strict fathers AND loving friends, politicians AND men of honor, honest AND successful, professionally hard AND privately soft, soldiers AND romantics. Men should be EVERYTHING!
But we can't do it alone! We need exactly those beings that we don't really understand: women! And that makes it complicated, because they are now our superiors, chancellors, presidents, bring the money home and are in charge. Women have more and more power and that's a good thing, but men should still be the heroes. We just want to stay boys. Is that possible? Can there be several men in one man?

Due to the enormous audience success and a total of over 30,000 tickets sold, the VBW’s internationally successful production ELISABETH, penned by the successful duo of Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay, will also be performed next year from the 29th of June to the 1st of July 2023 as an exceptional concert experience in the grand forecourt of Schönbrunn Palace.
The famous historical setting provides a unique and dignified backdrop for the concert version of the musical, which tells the dramatic and moving story of the life, loves and tribulations of Empress Elisabeth of Austria.

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will be brought to the Raimund Theater in spring 2024 by Artistic Director Christian Struppeck, for the first time in German-speaking countries.
