Reinwald Kranner trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna, and KS Otto Edelmann (graduating with distinction). He has played roles in numerous  musicals and operettas in German-speaking countries, including Emperor Franz Josef in ELISABETH (Theater an der Wien), Toni in SEASON IN SALZBURG (Wiener Kammerspiele), Magaldi in EVITA (Oper Graz),  Riff in WEST SIDE STORY, Mottel in ANATEVKA (Volksoper Wien), Lord Capulet/Friar Laurence in ROMEO & JULIET, Simon in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Raimund Theater), Franz Liebkind in THE PRODUCERS (Ronacher, Admiralspalast Berlin), Titus Feuerfuchs in DER TALISMAN and Herr von Lips in DER ZERRISSENE. He has travelled with visiting productions to international destinations, including Hong Kong, Moscow and the USA. He directed EVITA and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR for the Frankenfestspiele Röttingen and choreographed the annual children’s musical at the Raimund Theater. With his daughter Stella, he co-wrote the musical DER GRÖSSTE SCHATZ. He has also played Khashoggi in WE WILL ROCK YOU (Theater des Westens, Berlin) and was in THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK, HONK!, NEXT TO NORMAL and SHOW BOAT as a member of the musical theatre ensemble at the Linz State Theatre. His most recent performance at the Ronacher was as George Banks in MARY POPPINS (DEA).
