Jil Clesse was born in Luxembourg and graduated with a BA (distinction) in Musical Theatre from the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna in 2014. Her singing teachers included Susan Rigvava-Dumas and Patricia Nessy. As part of her studies, she played Eurydice in ORPHEUS IN THE UNDERWORLD and Alberta in SWINGING ST. PAULI. She discovered her love of music at an early age and studied piano and singing at the City of Luxembourg Conservatory, as well as appearing in productions like Puccini’s LA BOHÈME at the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg.  In 2012, Jil Clesse played Cathy in THE LAST 5 YEARS at the Schubert Theater in Vienna.  While still in training, she was part of the cast of LES MISÉRABLES at the Linz State Theatre. SCHIKANEDER is her second VBW production, as she has previously played Swing in MOZART! and understudied Aloysia Weber.
