After her diploma in Opera and Concerts at the Würzburg University of Music (Prof. Cheryl Studer), Daniela Braun gained an MA with distinction at the Schweizer Opernstudio in Biel (Prof. Christian Hilz). Her repertoire covers everything from from opera, operetta, and musicals to experimental works. She has made guest appearances at the Theater Biel/Solothurn, Opera Piccola in Prague and the Theater am Marienplatz (Krefeld), among other venues. Her roles include Marie in TSAR AND CARPENTER, Pamina in THE MAGIC FLUTE, Fiordiligi in COSÌ FAN TUTTE and Pietra and Jolandain in the world premiere production of HEILE WELT by Urs Peter Schneider. She played Swing and understudied Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at the Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg and the Metronom Theater in Oberhausen, where she recently also played the role of Christine Daaé on alternate nights.
