Milica Jovanović Eleonore Schikaneder
Milica Jovanović studied musical theatre at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She then spent five years as a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, where her roles included Eliza in MY FAIR LADY, Papagena in THE MAGIC FLUTE and Dorothy in THE WIZARD OF OZ. This was followed by various lead roles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including Maria Rainer in THE SOUND OF MUSIC in Salzburg, and Magnolia Hawks in SHOW BOAT at the Bad Hersfelder Festspiele. Her debut at the Stadttheater Wiesbaden was in the title role of EVITA. At the Ronacher, she played Christine Daaé in a concert version of LOVE NEVER DIES. She was also a big hit in another VBW production, MARY POPPINS, where she played Winifred Banks. She performed once again in LOVE NEVER DIES at the Operettenhaus in Hamburg. Her most recent appearance was as Guinevere in ARTUS-EXCALIBUR at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg. Milica Jovanović has won various singing competitions, including the Walter Kaminsky Prize in the German National Singing Competition, and first prize in the M.U.T. competition in Klagenfurt.
