An American high school late fifties. Danny meets Sandy, they go through a typical teenage love story; With his velvet voice, Vince Fontaine is the littlest marker of all school balls. Miss Lynch, the teacher, keeps things in order via the school speakers. Kenickie has a girl with Rizzo to steal cars from, and Patty, the cheerleader, gives Sandy reason to be jealous. Then there are Freddy, Jan and the clumsy Eugene, the "Burgers" and the "Dukes" fights in car raiding areas and on the baseball field, the "Pink Ladies" dance and sing at pajama parties until Sandy finally gets the right hairstyle and leaves the dream world of "Rydell High" with Danny hand in hand.
