VBW hit musicals 2025 & 2026 in China

Yesterday, the Ronacher theatre once again welcomed young musical theatre talent to the stage! On this special evening, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) presented the jointly developed concert format WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION for the seventh time.
RUDOLF – THE LAST KISS 2026 premieres in Germany
The Vereinigte Bühnen Wien is delighted that its own production RUDOLF – DER LETZTE KUSS (Rudolf – The Last Kiss) by renowned Broadway songwriting duo Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy will celebrate its long-awaited premiere in Germany next spring.
Wiener Städtische Versicherung Musical Workshop 2025
For the twelfth time, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and Wiener Städtische Versicherung placed cultural education and youth development at the centre of their long-standing cooperation. A visit to the theatre and musical workshop offered schoolchildren space for creativity, fun and enjoyment of musical theatre.

On Sunday, May 18, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, in cooperation with Österreichische Autistenhilfe (Austrian Autism Aid), invited audiences to a second “relaxed performance” – this time at ROCK ME AMADEUS – DAS FALCO MUSICAL at the Ronacher Theater.
DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES goes Japan
After five years, the cult musical by VBW is finally back in Japan! So far, over half a million people have seen the adventures of vampire hunter “Professor Abronsius” and his assistant ‘Alfred’ in the dark empire of the “Count von Krolock” in almost 350 shows.

The cast for MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL has been revealed! On 20 May, the brand new VBW musical, the creative and leading team and the main actors were presented at a press conference.
First “Education Day” at Vereinigte Bühnen Wien
Last week, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien organized its first “Education Day” for around 400 pupils aged 14 and over, offering young people exclusive insights into the trades behind the scenes of ROCK ME AMADEUS – THE FALCO MUSICAL at the Ronacher.

On 3 April, the audience at the Ronacher experienced a very special performance. On this evening, a unique and never-before-seen sing-along performance of the hit musical ROCK ME AMADEUS - DAS FALCO MUSICAL took place, in which the audience itself was able to be part of the show.

On tonight's “Dancing Stars - Musical Night” on ORF 1, Julia Cencig & Patrick Seebauer will perform a Paso Doble to the sounds of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. To get in the mood, they attended a performance last week and met the “Phantom” Anton Zetterholm and “Christine Daaé” actress Lisanne Clémence Veeneman backstage for a quick get-together.

ELISABETH goes Holland! The international VBW hit production, penned by Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay, is going on a major tour of the Netherlands from March to October 2025.
One-year anniversary & 300th performance of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
On March 15, 2024, Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA celebrated its brilliant premiere at the Raimund Theater. Since then, the play about the mystical phantom and his great love for the young singer Christine Daaé has been thrilling audiences every night and providing magical moments, great emotions and pure goosebumps!
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, the production celebrated its first anniversary, followed by the 300th performance on Sunday. A great success for the cast and the entire production team.
Due to its great success, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has been extended by one season and can be seen at the Raimund Theater until June 2026.
