Premiere of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
There was great applause and a standing ovation at the premiere of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
On Friday, the long-awaited new production by US star director and choreographer Matt West celebrated its celebrated premiere at the Raimund Theater. With this production, VBW Musical Director Christian Struppeck is bringing one of the most successful musicals of all time back to Vienna.
The star-studded cast – led by Marlene Jubelius, Dominik Hees, Roy Goldman, Simon Stockinger, Wietske van Tongeren, Mathias Schlung, Linus Al Baroffio, Oliver Huether, Jana Stelley and Birgit Arquin – together with the VBW Orchestra, impressed the audience with a stunning performance that evening. Minutes of applause and standing ovations paid tribute to the performances of all those involved.
Following the performance, a toast was raised to the premiere and the upcoming season in a cosy atmosphere at the Raimund Theater. An all-round successful and unforgettable premiere evening that will be remembered for a long time to come.
