WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION 2023
GRADUATES’ CONCERT AT THE RAIMUND THEATER
On 26 June 2023, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and the City of Vienna’s Private University of Music and the Arts (MUK) presented WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION for the fifth time. Once again this year, the concert evening was dedicated entirely to promoting young talent.
MUSICAL STARS AND ‘THE NEXT GENERATION’ AT THE RAIMUND THEATER
This year’s MUK graduates and students on the ‘Musical Entertainment Theatre’ course took to the stage alongside musical stars Katharina Gorgi, Martin Berger and Mark Seibert to present a varied selection of musical theatre numbers. The audience honoured the performance of both the up-and-coming and the renowned musical theatre performers with thunderous applause, cheers and a standing ovation.
The event was once again hosted by the well-known director and MUK lecturer Werner Sobotka. Under the musical direction of Peter Uwira, himself a university professor on the Musical Theatre programme, a four-piece live band performed.
