A holiday adventure focusing on Maria Theresa.

This year’s Summer City Camps centred on the legendary Habsburg monarch and the current VBW production MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL.

For the fourth time, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, in collaboration with the Wiener Familienverbund, took part in the City of Vienna’s holiday programme. In seven interactive workshops led by VBW cultural educator Margarete Reichel-Neuwirth, 125 children this time had the opportunity to learn more about the famous monarch and immerse themselves in the VBW musical.

With great passion and enthusiasm, the children rehearsed musical excerpts from the show, devised a short choreography and explored the characters in the musical in greater depth. Once again this year, a particular highlight was the glimpse into the impressive auditorium of the Ronacher – the children’s eyes lit up and the young workshop participants were full of enthusiasm.
