The cast for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

The cast for Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has been finalised. The production and the lead performers were presented at a press conference on 9 June.

The event at the Raimund Theater was hosted by the two lead performers, Marlene Jubelius (Belle) and Dominik Hees (The Beast), who charmingly guided the audience through the event. The premiere of this impressive new production by US star director and choreographer Matt West is on 25 September 2026.

A first-class cast and many audience favourites

For the spectacular new production of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the VBW presents a top-class cast. Marlene Jubelius and Dominik Hees will take on the title roles of “Belle” and “Beast”. For Marlene Jubelius, this is her first leading role with the VBW and also her Vienna debut. Dominik Hees is already well known to Viennese audiences; he can currently be seen in the VBW’s hit production MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL at the Ronacher. Roy Goldman will be appearing as “Gaston”. Simon Stockinger takes on the role of “Lumière”. “Madame Pottine” is played by none other than Wietske van Tongeren. Mathias Schlung is “Herr von Unruh” and returns to the VBW for this production. Linus Al Baroffio plays “Lefou”, whilst Oliver Huether takes on the part of “Maurice” . The role of “Madame de L’Amour” is played by Jana Stelley, whilst “Babette” is portrayed by Birgit Arquin.

International musical phenomenon based on the world-famous Disney film

With Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, one of the world’s most successful musicals returns to the Austrian capital. The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years without interruption and was nominated for nine Tony Awards®, including “Best Musical”. More than 38 million people in over 17 countries have seen Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to date. To this day, the show remains one of the longest-running productions in Broadway history.
