“Education Day” at THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
On January 28, 2026, due to high demand last year, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien held its second “Education Day” for students aged 14 and older, offering young people exclusive insights into the trades and diverse professions behind the scenes of a musical production.
Whether performers, stage technology, costumes, make-up or props, sound, lighting, or stage management – in a unique setting, the theater experts from the VBW musical division presented their everyday working lives live on stage at the Raimund Theater and then answered questions from around 500 students from a wide variety of school types.
The joint visit to a performance of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA rounded off the “Education Day.” This gave the young people the opportunity to experience how all these professions work together seamlessly to bring an impressive show to the stage every evening.
