For the eleventh time, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and Wiener Städtische Versicherung invited 100 schoolchildren from all over Austria to a VBW theatre, continuing their long-standing partnership dedicated to cultural education and youth development. The common goal is to awaken a lasting interest in art and culture, to facilitate access and to provide a space for discovering and expressing creativity and talent.

This time, the young people had the opportunity to experience the latest successful VBW production, ROCK ME AMADEUS – DAS FALCO MUSICAL, up close at the Ronacher. As part of an exclusive musical workshop, 40 pupils were also able to get a taste of theatre life. Together with Margarete Reichel-Neuwirth, cultural mediator for the VBW musical division, an extensive musical workshop was offered, ranging from theatre education games and improvisation exercises to the joint development of a choreography for a number from the musical.

The young people presented the results of the workshop in a final presentation and were delighted to welcome some very special guests: musical stars Katharina Gorgi, Simon Stockinger and Clemens Otto Bauer from ROCK ME AMADEUS came in person to see the choreography they had rehearsed.
