NMS Gassergasse at CATS at the invitation of the Federation of Austrian Industries in Vienna
inclusive musical project at school
As the highlight of a VBW cultural education project organised by VBW JUNGES MUSICAL, 210 children and young people from NMS Gassergasse visited CATS at the Ronacher theatre last week at the invitation of the Federation of Austrian Industries. For the third time in a row, a week-long integrative musical project took place at the school in Vienna's fifth district at the beginning of the year.
As part of the lessons led by VBW JUNGES MUSICAL, the pupils, aged between 10 and 14, spent a whole week working on CATS. They were able to choose their own focus, with dance, singing, acting and, for the first time, stage design and environmental protection available to choose from. Every day, they danced, sang, improvised and performed, and also worked together to develop choreographies. The long-awaited visit to see the internationally successful musical at the Ronacher was received with enthusiasm by the children and young people.
