VBW junges MUSICAL at school
Andreas Lichtenberger, who plays Frollo, at NMS Gassergasse

This year, the cultural outreach programme of the musical division VBW JUNGES MUSICAL once again held a four-day workshop at NMS Gassergasse. The fourth-year classes explored universal themes such as prejudice, bullying and anti-Gypsyism based on the content of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.
The young people were able to try out their creative skills through music, movement, drama and theatre education exercises. Inspired by the lyrics of the musical, they designed stage sets and created them on various canvases.
A special highlight was the subsequent visit by both school classes to see Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. WIENER STÄDTISCHE VERSICHERUNG invited the pupils to the musical, making this unforgettable experience possible.
The young people were particularly impressed when Andreas Lichtenberger, who plays "Frollo", visited them at school the next day and chatted with them informally about his work as a musical performer. Afterwards, the pupils surprised the experienced musical performer with a pre-rehearsed choreography and a song from the musical, sung and performed in sign language. As a memento of this special workshop, autographs were eagerly collected and numerous selfies taken.
