VBW offers apprentices an insight into the musical genre
VBW JUNGES MUSICAL

In March, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, in cooperation with OeAD-GmbH – Agency for Education and Internationalisation and Basis.Kultur.Wien, offered apprentices the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the musical and the successful VBW in-house production ROCK ME AMADEUS – DAS FALCO MUSICAL.
On three dates in March, three musical workshops took place at the Ronacher as part of the project "K3-Kulturvermittlung mit Lehrlingen" (K3-Cultural Education with Apprentices), which was funded by OeAD and Basis.Kultur. Wien, three musical workshops were held at the Ronacher theatre as part of the cultural education programme of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien VBW JUNGES MUSICAL. Under the title "MUSICAL – mehr als Theater" (MUSICAL – more than theatre), five apprentice classes with a total of around 90 apprentices gained insights into the musical genre and the working world at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien.
In an eight-hour musical workshop based on the musical ROCK ME AMADEUS – DAS FALCO MUSICAL, methods from theatre education, improvisation, rap and dance were used to discuss the content, question role models, establish references to the present and find connections between musicals and the lives of young adults. During a backstage tour and a presentation by a VBW employee, the young people gained insights into everyday working life at the VBW. The project was rounded off with a visit to a performance of ROCK ME AMADEUS at the Ronacher.
