World premiere MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL

The world premiere of MARIA THERESIA – THE MUSICAL was celebrated by the audience with a standing ovation and minutes of applause on Friday, 10 October 2025 at the Ronacher.

 

Vereinigte Bühnen Wien's latest in-house production tells the fascinating story of one of the most influential monarchs of the 18th century - a vivid portrait of power, passion and historical change.

 

The wonderful cast - above all the soloists Nienke Latten, Fabio Diso, Moritz Mausser, Annemieke van Dam, Annemarie Lauretta, Dominik Hees, Andreas Wolfram, Aeneas Hollweg and Amelie Polak - shone with an impressive performance that evening.

 

The performance was followed by a toast in a festive atmosphere at the Ronacher: VBW musical director Christian Struppeck and VBW managing director Prof. Dr Franz Patay celebrated together with all those involved in the production and numerous prominent guests - an unforgettable evening for everyone!
