Singing, acting and improvising – children had the opportunity to try out and experience all of this at this year's Summer City Camps.

For the third time, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, in cooperation with the Wiener Familienverbund, took part in the City of Vienna's holiday programme, enabling around 150 schoolchildren aged between 8 and 12 to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

Under the direction of VBW cultural mediator Margarete Reichel-Neuwirth, the story of the musical was explored and conveyed in a playful and interactive way in a total of seven workshops. The children also had the opportunity to gain exciting insights behind the scenes of the Raimund Theater and into the process of a musical production. The view of the auditorium and the production's famous crystal chandelier was particularly exciting. Varied musical workshops for schoolchildren during the holidays to experience all the senses and express their own creativity.
