ELISABETH Tour in the Netherlands
from March to October 2025
ELISABETH goes Holland! The international VBW hit production, penned by Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay, is going on a major tour of the Netherlands from March to October 2025.
On 23 March, the production celebrated a brilliant premiere at the DeLaMar Theatre in the capital, Amsterdam. A total of 170 performances are planned in 21 cities. The triumph of the musical has been going on for over 30 years and the success continues unabated.
Musical icon Pia Douwes can be seen in the title role of ‘Elisabeth’, a role she has already played in many productions of the musical of the same name worldwide, to great acclaim. She made her breakthrough in Austria in 1992 (world premiere) as ‘Elisabeth’ in Vienna. The role of ‘Young Elisabeth’ is played by Danique Dusée, who is also making her musical debut with this role. ‘Death’ is embodied by Dutch musical performer Milan van Waardenburg. The director is Fran van Laecke.
