Great success for German-language China tours
Great success for VBW musicals in China! As part of two German-language tours, the two world-famous musicals ELISABETH and REBECCA could be experienced in China from August to December 2024 in semi-staged performances with a large orchestra.
In a total of 62 performances, the plays, both written by Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay, were staged in renowned Chinese partner theatres of the VBW in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
The Chinese audiences honoured the VBW musicals with standing ovations and much cheering.
ELISABETH kicked things off at the Shanghai Culture Square Theatre.
It then went on to Beijing at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Centre and finally to Guangzhou at the Opera House. The final performance took place there on 30 September 2024 after a total of 33 performances.
