As associate director of Riverside Studios, he directed Eugene O'Neill's A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN (Society of West End Theatre Award).
Opera includes THE TURN OF THE SCREW (Scottish Opera, Tramway), THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO and for the English National Opera, Strauss's SALOME.
In 1993, he formed Theatre Project Tokyo, an independent theatre company with executive producer Hitoshi Kadoi. David is currently artistic consultant to the Tokyo based production company, Amuse Inc.
