On Saturday 13th June, the curtains have risen for the internationally successful VBW-Musical ELISABETH in the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo as well as the Blue Square Theater in Seoul.
The VEREINIGTE BÜHNEN WIEN’s first Musical export, ELISABETH – written by the successful writer/composer duo Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay – opened in Japan more than nineteen years ago. The Asian audience was as thrilled and enchanted by the exciting musical - about the Austrian Empress - as our own audiences at home. Since then ELISABETH has been performed regularly in Japan. We are also extremely happy with the addition of regular shows in South Korea since 2012.
With the return of ELISABETH to Tokyo and Seoul, the musicals international success story continues. ELISABETH has now been touring for over 20 years throughout the world! Whether in Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands or Italy - over 10 Million people from throughout the world have already been exhilarated by this truly amazing musical masterpiece.
